These lamps are located at the ‘Heaven Official bestows blessings’ at the entrance of the God of Prosperity Pit. The Heaven Official refers to the ‘Great Emperor of Purple Tenebrity who is the Upper Primordial First-Rank Heavenly Official that bestows blessings’. Not only can the God of Prosperity Lamps in Guandu Temple bring great fortune, worshippers are blessed with good luck and happiness.
At the God of Prosperity Pit, also worshipped are the Wanshan God of Prosperity, Jilun God of Prosperity, Wubi God of Prosperity and Wuming God of Prosperity. These gods used to be wealthy tradesmen or historical figures who were believed to ascend to heaven and became the Gods of Prosperity worshipped by people. In front of every God of Prosperity is a treasure bowl filled with various treasures.
Located at the entrance of the God of Prosperity Pit is the main hall of God of Blessing and Virtue. The deity worshipped is God of Blessing and Virtue, also known as the Earth God. He is also regarded as a God of Prosperity. He holds a gold or silver ingot in his left hand and a walking stick on his right. Worshippers can visit Guandu Temple and light up the God of Prosperity Lamps. They can also pay respect to the various Gods of Prosperity and God of Blessing and Virtue, to ask for a prosperous career and incoming wealth.
